We have always believed that cows should be spared the use of artificial growth hormones, which is why—since we first bought milk from local farmers in Upstate New York—we’ve used milk from cows not treated with rBST* (recombinant bovine somatotropin), an artificial growth hormone. We support our farmers by paying more for their commitment to supplying us with milk from cows not treated with rBST, and as a result, fewer cows across the country are being injected with artificial hormones. Our founding mission is to create better food for more people, and that means using only natural, non-GMO ingredients from cows not treated with rBST.
*Milk from rBST-treated cows is not significantly different.
